I’m Bethany Myers, an artist who creates in many directions, disciplines and subject matter. My interests are diverse. I probably should pick a lane and stick to it. Ultimately I throw myself into whatever is the shiniest object at the time. For the purposes of this website, I’ll stick to only a few.

Invisible People is both testimony and tribute. It honors women who may never receive the advocacy or individualized care necessary to truly “make it out.” My hope is that they have found safer, brighter spaces—but my skepticism acknowledges the reality many face. What I can offer is this: a restoration of their uniqueness, a refusal to let their existence be forgotten, and an artistic record of lives too often unseen.

FAVO, Faith Arts Village Orlando, is an art community which is open every first weekend of the month with more than 25 artists in residence and lots of art to see. The event and parking are free and family friendly.

Bird house project
The birdhouse was unfinished wood when I bought it and after priming I painted it as an abandoned house. I love painting architecture. I painted shingles, windows, etc. The part I’m most proud of is the wood planks. I cut up balsam wood and soaked it in boiling water with teabags and sprinkled coffee on top to make knotholes. It soaked over night.
